Filtration and Filtration Systems - for dirt and purification of liquids
Filtration systems are available for removal of dirt and particles from liquids. Most systems offered are constructed of thermoplastics or alloy steels that are ideal for ultra-pure or corrosive liquids. Systems using disposable filter cartridges, also known as filter tubes, offer economical filtration for flow rates up to 150+ gallon per minute. Systems using ring type filter bags are ideal when a large quantity of loading is anticipated. Disk type filters offer large solids holding capacity and high flow rates. Sand type filters offer the ability of backwashing. Filter presses offer the advantage of drying the particles to a cake like material just prior to disposal. The ideal filtration system will consider initial cost, frequency of servicing or cleaning, flow and particle size retention data, and disposal costs.
