Applications

The magnetic driven NMWR pumps are designed for hot oil applications.  A leak-free magnetic drive is used to improve plant and personnel safety in industrial heating plants.

Conventional pumps, that use mechanical seals, are prone to leakage of oil.  Mechanical seals depend upon the liquid film for lubrication and a trace amount of liquid escapes from the seal in the form of a vapor.  The hot oil at high temperature reacts to the atmosphere and turns into coke or tar.   Double seals, anti-cokeing bushings and water cooling systems are conventional but are subject to high operational cost and catastrophic failures.  Why use a system of mechanical seals that will cause a leakage of material - short term cost.

The containment shell on the NMWR replaces any mechanical seal and saves maintenance costs because 90% of all pump failures are caused by leaking seals. NMWR pumps offer exceptional benefits to the user and fulfill all environmental protection rules. Maximum operating temperature without water-cooling is 800° F.

Construction

NMWR pumps are single stage volute casing pumps with closed impellers, back-pull-out design, with end suction and top centerline discharge flange. Foot mounted casings are provided as standard. Centerline mounted design is available as an option.  Cross section detail drawing
