Air Release and Degassing Valves

The air release valve is used for quick venting of start up air in a pipe line or storage tank.  PVC housing construction with polypropylene floating seal closed in the presence of liquid and will stay closed at pressures over 10 PSI.  For gassing liquids use the below degassing valve.  Download bulletin

Degassing valve is designed for liquids that produce gas bubbles such as sodium hypochlorite.  Constructed of PVC body with polypropylene float and EPDM or Viton elastomer seals

Both the air release and degassing valves will release fumes and trace quantities of liquids and should be plumbed to a safe location.  Valves are dependent upon mounting in a vertical position and solutions with a specific gravity of 0.8 or more.  (6.7 pounds per gallon minimum)
