Signet Model 515 Rotor-X
Flow Sensor - Pipe size 1/2" to 12"Constructing a flow monitoring or controlling system is simple with the +GF+ SIGNET 515 Rotor-X Flow Sensor. Combine the 515 with a +GF+SIGNET installation fitting and flow meter or controller, and have an operational flow monitoring system in minutes. Polypropylene is the standard housing material; the 515 stands up to many industrial processes. For processes containing pure water or acids and solvents, the PVDF version combined with a PVDF +GF+SIGNET fitting, provides protection from possible fluid product contamination. The shaft is titanium as standard with options of Hastelloy C or PVDF. A Viton o-ring is standard to seal the sensor into the fitting.

fittings are provide for most flow sensors. Piping materials include PVC, CPVC,
polypro, PVDF and most metals. Fittings are available for mot pipe sizes from
1/2" to 12". Details A minimum length of straight piping is required before and after the sensor. Decreasing these dimension will not prevent the sensor from working but will affect the accuracy of the system. The below chart indicates these length required in relationship to the pipe diameter. |

|
In horizontal pipe runs with no air pockets or sediment present, mount the sensor/fitting in the 12 o'clock position or 6 o'clock position. If sediment or air pockets ore present, tilt the sensor/ fitting at a maximum angle of 45" to overcome these obstacles. In vertical runs, upward flow is required. Full pipes are required. |
| Other Sensor are available in addition to the Rotor-X sensor for special applications. | |
| Model 2536 Low Flow Sensor | Identical in appearance of the 515 -- for measuring low velocities to 0.3 feet / second. Uses the Hall Effect. |
| Model 319/515 - Wet Tap | Similar to 515 in a Wet Tap version. Allows the sensor to be removed when the system is still under pressure. |
| Model 525 Metalex - High Pressure | A stainless steel flow sensor for pressures to 1500 PSI and operating temperatures to 300 F. 525 installation |
| Model 2100 Turbine Flow Sensor | PVDF construction - 1/4" to 1/2" connections - For flow rates of 0.1 to 10 GPM Details |
| Model 2000 Micro Flow Sensor | A plastic flow through sensor that will measure flow rates starting in the range of 0.03 GPM |
| Model 2507 Mini Flow Sensor | A PVDF flow through sensor for ultra-pure or corrosive liquids. Flow range of the smallest is 0.106 to .74 GPM (500 to 2800 ml/min) |
| Model 2540 Stainless Steel - High Performance | A stainless steel flow sensor for low
velocities to 0.3 feet /second. Pressure to 250 PSI - temperature to
210 F. 2540 specifications - 2540 installation |
| Model 2517 Brass - High Performance | A brass sensor similar to the 2540 with higher temperature ratings to 212 F -- for remote locations it will provide a signal for the 5100 battery unit. |
| Model 2560 Flowmag | PVDF body with 316L SS probes provide 4 - 20 mA signal - for pipe sizes of 1/2" to 4" |
| Model 2550 Insertion Magmeter | A stainless steel full featured magnetic meter for pipe sizes of 2" to 12". This provides many features found on very expensive process mag meter. |
| Signet offers a full range
of two and three wire sensor providing analog data instrument with rate of flow
signals. These are included in the 8000 Series Compak page. Installation fittings are provided for most flow sensors. Piping materials include PVC, CPVC, polypro, PVDF and most metals. Fittings are available for most pipe sizes from 1/2" to 12". Details - PDF file |
