Technical Bulletin No: TB 26. Ball & Butterfly Valves – Physical & Mechanical Properties AVT 530 Epoxy Series AVT 530 molded valves and ancillaries are manufactured using only the highest quality Epoxy Resins and are oven cured in combination with an Aromatic Amine hardener. AVT 530 products incorporate Milled Glass and Silica within the Epoxy Resin for added strength and properties. Ball Valve flanges have additional glass reinforcement placed within the flange face to further enhance bending and torsion load performance. The resulting molded products have high strength and low weight plus excellent corrosion resistance internally and externally to a wide range of chemicals. By utilising the combination of high quality Epoxy Resins and Milled Glass in the molded products results in both an internal flow surface of highest quality with low pressure drop and excellent erosion resistant properties. AVT 530 Valves are available in ANSI, 150, BS, DIN & JIS standard Flange and Face to Face dimensions. Valves are rated for operating pressures from 150 psig (10 bar) to 300 psig (20 bar), depending on diameter and valve type; with temperature ranges from –45 °C to 110 °C (-113 °F to 230°F). Consult AVT for the full availability of valve sizes and performance capabilities to suit specific applications. Important Notice.
