P Series vertical immersible pumps are
compact, portable and self-priming when immersed within a tank. Simple in design and
efficient in performance, this pump has only one moving part; the impeller. This
pump is suitable for pumping, agitating, filtering or circulating acid and alkaline
solutions, abrasive fluids, electroless plating solutions and other corrosive solutions. The pump has a rigid, solid stainless steel that extends from
the motor fan to the impeller. The shaft sleeve of the impeller eliminates contact of
solution with any metal parts. The impeller's top vanes perform the function of the
seal allowing for no pump bearing, no bushings, no wearing parts, and open clearances
within the pump. This produces little or no maintenance required for the pump. The pump is
mounted with a extension flange or baseplate that allows for mounting on the tank lip; pump can
be mounted directly in the tank or on the outside of the tank if space is limited.
This design has
been providing reliable service for the most difficult applications for more than
thirty years. Materials of construction include CPVC (standard), polypropylene, and PVDF.
A
new "K" design now prevents impeller unthreading during reverse
rotation of a three phase motor . Available for P-1 through P-2 and
"HP" pumps. Details
The materials are often combined to allow for special
application such as electroless nickel plating. In this case, a CPVC pump is modified
(EN version) with a PVDF impeller to gain the addition thermal and corrosion
strength of the PVDF material without the additional price increase required for a total PVDF
constructed pump.
