Series PP polypro pleated filter are a good choice for applications currently using wound filters. These tubes offer about three times the flow rate and three times the dirt holding capacity. The media cost per gallon is similar to wound filters. These tube are 2 3/4" OD and fit into most brands of filter chambers. Penguin pleated cartridge filters are an alternative to string wound or spun molded filters. These filters are economical, multi-use, premium quality products that are available in various micron ratings. The filter media is composed of continuous self-bonded polypropylene, nylon or PTFE microfibers which is manufactured by a unique process that controls the uniformity and density of the continuous microfibers. There are no resin binders that can break down and leach out or permit the typical problems of channeling and media migration. The filter matrix of fine diameter fibers and large open areas allows for superior flow rates at low-pressure drops. Penguin pleated cartridge filters are available in FDA approved material and various sub-micron and absolute particle retention ratings.

Style D – Nominal Polypropylene Media
The Penguin Nominal Polypropylene pleated cartridge is an economical, multi-use, premium depth type filter that is available in retention ratings from 1 to 50 microns. They are specifically designed to provide highly efficient particle removal in aqueous and non-aqueous liquids. The unique combinations of cartridge design and media selection contribute to their superior flow rate, lower pressure drop, exceptional contaminant holding capacity and longer operational life

Style V – Nominal Submicronic Polypropylene Media
Penguin’s Nominal Submicronic Polypropylene pleated cartridges are available in nominal retention ratings down to .01 and are offered in a variety of lengths and styles. Its all-polypropylene construction with virtually no extractables permits wide chemical compatibility and application to a broad range of fluids.

Style A – Absolute Polypropylene Media
Penguin’s Absolute Polypropylene pleated cartridges have almost unlimited applications. They are most appropriate when high quality filtration and economy are of importance. These cartridges are absolute rated and are available in particle retention ratings of 0.45 to 40 microns. They feature high dirt holding capacity, high flow rates and reduced pressure loss.

Style C – Absolute Submicronic Polypropylene Membrane
Penguin’s Style C pleated cartridge is an absolute rated, 100% polypropylene filter. It provides maximum chemical compatibility, performance and economy in controlling contaminants in critical processes. Our Submicronic Polypropylene cartridge is designed for removal of particulate, colloids and microorganisms from solvents, corrosive chemicals and gassed. It also offers high security for bulk and point-of-use filtration. It is inherently hydrophobic and is available in absolute ratings of 0.1 and .02 microns

Style N – Absolute Nylon Membrane
Penguin’s Nylon Pleated Cartridges meet the critical demand for contamination control in chemical, electronic, aerospace, photonic, beverage, biological, pharmaceutical and other industries. Our nylon cartridge provides excellent final filtration for a variety of ultrapure water requirements as well as clarification/cold sterilization of beverages. They are high flow, high throughput filters that are available in absolute bacterial retentive ratings of 0.2 and 0.45 microns.
